PRE BOARD EXAMINATION 2021-22

SUBJECT- PHYSICS

Class – XI

Time: 3Hours                                                                             Max. Marks: 70

 

GERNRAL INSTRUCATION: -

1.     All the questions are compulsory. There 33 questions in all.

2.     There are 5 sections sec. A, Sec. B, Sec. C, Sec. D, and Sec. E.

3.     Section A has 10 short answers questions an 4 assertion reasoning MCQs. One marks each.

4.     Section B has 2 case based questions 4 marks each. Section C contains 9 short answer questions 2 marks each. Section D has 5 questions 3 marks each. Section E has 3 long answers questions 5 marks each.

5.     There is no overall choice. However internal choice is provided. You have to attempt only 1 of choices in such questions.

Section – A

Q1.    One parsec ………. Meter

OR

          One dyne …………. Newton.

Q2.    A & B are two wires. The radices of A is twice that of  B. If they are stretched by the same load. Then find the ration of stress of A to B.

Q3.    The earth is melting sound the sun in a circular orbit. Find the work done by force acts on earth.

Q4.    Among angle strain relative velocity & relative density which quantity has unit but no dimension.

Q5.    A load of mass two kg attached to a spring of constant k = 200 N/m. what is the time period of oscillations. If system execute S.H.M.

Q6.    A man goes to market 5km away in 10 minute & comes back in 5 minutes. Find average speed & velocity.

Q7.    The mass of body is 2.50 + 0.01 kg & volume 1.25 + 0.01 m3 find % error in density.

Q8.    If x the coefficient of linear expansion of material of body then what is deeper facial expansion B of material of body.

Q9.    What do you mean by elastic limit?

Q10.  If the orbiter speed is increased by 41.4 % will the satellite escape out of orbit.

For questions No.  – 11, 12, 13, 14 each has two statements one labeled by assertion ‘A’ & the other labeled by Reason ‘R’ select the correct answer to these questions from the codes (a), (b), (c) and (d) as given below.

a)     Both ‘A’ & ‘R’ true and ‘R’ is the correct explanation of ‘A’.

b)    Both ‘A’ & ‘R’ are true that ‘R’ is not correct explanation of ‘A’.

c)     ‘A’ is true but ‘R’ is false.

d)    ‘A’ is false & ‘R’ is false.

Q11.  (A)    Pressure has dimension energy density.

          (R)     Energy density =   energy/volume

Q12.  (A)    It is possible that speed is constant but velocity is variable.

(R)     A body is moving on a circular path with constraint speed but its velocity is not constant because of change m dissection.

Q13.  (A)    In gases the molecules move faster & cover long distances without colliding.

          (R)     In gases no intermolecular forces.

Q14.  (A)    All the simple harmonic motions are periodic. But all the periodic motions are not simple harmonic.

(R)     The periodic motion is not simple harmonic tell acceleration is not directly proportional to displacement and opposite to displacement.

Section – B

Q15.  Projectile Motion

It is a form of motion in which an object or particle is thrown with some initial velocity near the earth’s surface and it moves along the curved path under the action of gravity alone. The path followed by particle is called refectory as shown below



µ cos 0 Horizontal component of velocity

µ sin 0 vertical component of  type of velocity.

I        The example of such motion is –


  1.   Motion of car on banked road.
  2.   Motion of boat in sea.
  3.   A javelin thrown by an alnelelt.
  4.   Motion of a ball thrown vertically upward.

II       The acceleration of object in horizontal direction is –

  1.   Constant
  2.   Decreasing
  3.   Increasing
  4.   Zero

III      The vertical component at max height is-

  1.   Maximum
  2.   Zero
  3.   Double than that at point of projection.
  4.   Equal to horizontal components.

IV      A cricked ball is thrown at speed of 28 m/sec. in a direction 300 with horizontal .The time of flight-

  1.   2.0 sec
  2.   3.0 sec
  3.   4.0 sec
  4.   2.9 sec

Q16.  Maximum absolute error in sum difference of two quantities equal to sum of absolute error in that quantities.

Section - C

Q18.  What do you mean by molar specifies heat cp & ev which gravity.

Q19.  What do you mean by MOOK’s law? Explain which is nose elastic rubber or steel.

Q20.  What do you mean by capillarity why does the Hg level in tube is convex?

Q21.  State the postulates of kinetic theory of gases.

Q22.  Prove that motion of simple pendulum is simple harmonic.

Q23.  State and prove Pascal’s law?

Q24.  What do you know about principle of continuity liquid is flowing in a tube of non-uniform cross section at point where cross sectional area is A speed of liquid is V. what is the speed where cross section area is A/2?

Q25.  What do you mean by coefficient of viscosity? Write its dimensional formula.

Q26.  Explain Zeroth law & second law of thermodynamics. Between AB & AC which represents Adiabatic-

Q27.  At the maximum height the K.E. of projectile is half the KE at point of projection. What is the angle of projection and max. range is the initial speed is 100 /sec/

Q28.  What do you mean by gravitation potential. Deduce expression of gravitational potential on earth surface.

OR

Deduce the relation b/w gravitational field intensity & gravitational potential.

Q29.  Define static friction angle of fraction & angle of repose.

OR

A body of 10kg is acted by two perpendicular forces 8Nt & 6 Nt what is the resultant acceleration?

Q30.  State first law of thermo dynamic. Explain isothermal & adiabatic process on the basis of first law of thermodynamics.

Section – E

Q31.  Prove that the motion of cylinder floating in liquid is simple harmonic Deduce the expression of time period.

OR

Prove that the motion of a body mass m hanging by spring execute S.H.M. find its time period.

Q32.  With the help of first law of thermodynamics deduce that cp – cv = R. Where cp – Molar specific heat are constant pressure-

          CV – Molar specific heat at constant volume.

          R – Universal gas constant

OR

What is the difference in isothermal & ad robotic process. Deduce the expression of work done in isothermal process.

Q33.  What do you mean by ideal liquid state & prove Bermolues theorem.

OR

Prove that when liquid is flowing in a tube of non-uniform cross section where area of cross-section of tube is greater pressure is greater at that point.
